Terms of Service

Last updated: October 25, 2026. These terms cover Get Reviews, operated by Simple Business Suite (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to them.

The service

Get Reviews lets you collect, moderate and display customer testimonials, including text, photo, audio and video, with consent records, verification labels, embeds and related tools, under the plan limits described on the pricing page.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the testimonials you collect and publish, including their accuracy and your legal right to use them.
  • You must not submit, solicit or publish fake testimonials, testimonials from people who are not your customers, or testimonials conditioned on positive sentiment. Doing so can violate the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials and is grounds for termination.
  • You must disclose incentives and insider relationships wherever a testimonial requires it, and keep verification labels accurate. Do not edit a testimonial in a way that changes its meaning.
  • Before you publish a testimonial anywhere, you must verify it yourself: that the submitter is a real customer, that the words reflect their honest experience, and that any editing preserves their meaning. Collecting, moderating or displaying a testimonial through the service does not transfer that duty to us.
  • Compliance with advertising and consumer-protection law is yours alone, including the FTC Act, the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, the FTC Endorsement Guides, and state consumer-protection laws. Fines, penalties, regulatory actions and claims arising from testimonials you collect or publish are your responsibility, not ours.
  • You must not use the service to host unrelated files, send spam, or abuse the public collection endpoints.

Verification labels

Verification labels (for example “email verified” or “purchase verified”) record only the check the service was able to perform at submission. An email check proves control of an email inbox; a purchase check records a matched transaction in a system you connected. No label is a guarantee that a testimonial is genuine, that the submitter is your customer, or that your use of a testimonial complies with the law. Labels are information for your own review, and they never reduce your duty to verify a testimonial before you publish it.

Consent and releases

The service captures a submitter’s e-signed consent and release at submission and stores the record with the testimonial. You are responsible for confirming that the release covers your intended use. Consent records are a record-keeping aid: we do not warrant that a captured consent or release is enforceable, or sufficient for any particular use, jurisdiction or medium, and confirming that remains your responsibility. Our templates are provided as a starting point, are not legal advice, and we recommend independent legal review for your business.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. Fair-use limits in the plan descriptions apply. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law.

Your content

You and your submitters keep ownership of testimonial content. You grant us the license needed to host, process, transcode and display it as you direct through the service. You can export your testimonials, and deleting your account deletes your content subject to the privacy policy retention notes.

Availability, liability and indemnity

The service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We are a tool provider, not the publisher of your testimonials: testimonials you collect and display through the service are your publications, not ours, and we do not endorse or adopt them. Nothing in these terms makes us responsible for the truth of testimonials you publish; that responsibility stays with you. We are not liable for fines, penalties, regulatory actions or third-party claims arising from testimonials you collect, verify or publish, or from your failure to verify them before publishing. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before a claim. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simple Business Suite and Get Reviews against claims, damages, penalties and reasonable legal costs arising from your testimonials, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
